Just imagine

Look like Jack says it all.

“It’s time once again for a made-in-Canada foreign policy that reflects the values and dreams of Canadians. It’s time to reclaim Canada’s place in the world.”

“Do we really need further convincing of the threat we face”

Imagine if the NDP ran Canada

New Manifesto needed

Over the past few years the protests over the war, well over anything the US does have always seemed one sided to me. A not so small minority of left leaning peace activists start a protest. Witch is then shown on TV and made to look like 10’s of thousands instead of 1000’s.

I think it’s time these groups start protesting where I think it will do more good. What’s the point of picketing the Israeli embassy in Britain? when you good do a better job in Israel. It’s time the protestors took their ideas and slogans to Iran to protest nuclear disarmament, or how about going to Saudi Arabia and protesting big oil.

I’m not surprised why leave a cushy protest area and look like you’re doing something. It’s time these peace groups stopped and looked at what their protesting, It’s time they rewrote their ideas to the 21st century instead of the 1980’s.

Sarah Baxter seems to get it

"But I am surprised, all the same, by the persistence of the ideological blind spot that has led women who are so quick to condemn the failings of the West to make transparent excuses for the behavior of some of the world’s most anti-feminist regimes.”

One down two to go

It’s about time MP’s are held accountable for the stupid things they say. Liberal Borys Wrzesnewskyj is not the first to go and definitely won’ be the last. Now it’s time for the Bloc and the NDP members of Parliament to think about what they're going to do.

It’s time MP’s all MP’s start thinking about their constituents and the people of Canada first! These people were elected to represent their ridings not themselves. Do you think the people of Etobicoke Center get their money’s worth with half assed remarks about terrorists.

Imagine if the Member of Parliament for Etobicoke Center was running for leader of the liberal Party. What a MORON!

bunch of ingrates

Well there you have it the Lebanese PM is not happy with Canada. So how do we as Canadians like being slapped in the face?

Lebanon's Prime Minister says Canada could do a better job supporting Lebanon, both politically and in terms of Humanitarian aid. Fuad Saniora is criticizing Canada for its support of Israel during the 34 day battle with Hezbollah.

Sniora says he was upset with Prime Minister Stephen Harper declaration that Israel's bombardment was a "measured response" to the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah. Saniora adds he opposes the inclusion of Hezbollah on the Canadian list of terrorist organizations.”

Putting aside that the PM took a side on the Hezbollah/Israel scuffle, I don’t know about you but as a Canadian I’m tired of being insulted by governments that have trouble keeping their own country from being run by a “terrorist organization” (it’s on the list). We have enough problems with assholes from Canada that do this.

Maybe it’s time that we took our aid package for Lebanon and put it somewhere where people will be more appreciative. What a bunch of ingrates

An eye for an eye

Maybe it’s time to show the Muslim world that the west has had enough. They say if you can beat them join them. Maybe it time to stop walking around the problem and advancing these ideas.

In Muslim countries you can be stoned for adultery, they take that one step further here in the west if a Muslim man is found raping a women (using our western definition), he should be stoned.

In Islamic schools children are taught to memorize the Koran, Lets also add that they must memorize the bible, and the constitution, as well as other selected works by well known peace lovers.

In Islam you are allowed honor killings, to save the dignity of you family. My idea lets give all the 9/11 victims a chance to pick a captured terrorist as their honor killing target.

I’m sure we can also incorporate the following ideas into our society.

Public beatings of Muslim photographers

Random rocket firings into Islamic neighborhoods

Kidnappings of various Islamic people for beheadings

Now after reading this your thinking you can’t do that a great number of Muslim people are peace loving and have nothing to do with terrorism. you will just make the problem worse they will hate us. "Duh! they already do" Well I say to you when peace loving Muslims start demonstrating in the streets that what is done in the name of their religion is not right. Then I’ll retract this entire post with an apology.

The only Muslim demonstrations I ever see are the “death to America” ones where is the righteous indignation from the mainstream moderate people of the Islamic faith?

Abuse by the left

Lately I’ve seen an abuse and misuse of specific words when bloggers and commentators have been posting. That’s not to say that you can’t use them just that I believe their being used out of context.

A few good examples

Imperialist The word imperialism is used a lot by people in the socialist and revolutionary movements to define what they hate about the United States. Look up the definition yourself, but basically it comes down to a group or government trying to influence other group or governments. This is a common idea that’s been used by many countries over the last few years. Russia, Cuba, Britain, France, Japan, Germany, and Iran are just some of the countries I can name off the top off my head. Even groups can be imperialistic how about Microsoft, and IBM.

So my point is identifying the US as an imperialistic nation is stating the obvious, all people, governments and groups are imperialist by nature.

Using the Wikipedia definition, then Iran is imperialistic and so are the socialist movements around the world. Seems they want to control their sphere of influence to their advantage. Talk about a word that has been abused.

Disproportionate response

These days used to condemn Israel in its fight with Hizbollah. Wherein it states that a country that has its soldiers kidnapped and rockets fired at it for the last few years is not allowed retaliating because they may kill more people than have died in said attacked country. What a crock. Better bloggers than I have commented on these words and I direct you to them CoxandForkum, Thrutch, Betsy's page. Now I know some of you are thinking “but but its true Israel did kill at a ratio of 10 to 1”. My response tough shit get over it war is hell.

Agenda “a series of steps to be carried out or goals to be accomplished”

Also used with the terms personal agenda and secret agenda. People use this word as a bad thing as in “Stephen Harper has an agenda” Oh no look out the sky is falling of course he has a agenda people, it would be kind of stupid to be in office and not have a plan for the running the country. If he didn’t have an agenda liberals would complain that the PM had no vision and should have an agenda. It would be like he was in office and just dithering around doing nothing.

So my point, the PM agenda doesn’t match the liberal party agenda. Thank God

Zionism my personal favorite misused word Zionism. From looking at the definitions it all boils down to a political idea which states that the Jewish people are entitled to a homeland. I don’t see why this word is used in a derogatory sense, stating that someone is a Zionist means that they support a Jewish homeland. Oh no, I think I’ve been insulted. Let’s do a poll

Do you think Israel should be a country? Yes or no.

If you say yes you’re a Zionist

If you say no then your stating the UN was wrong in 1948.

Now when you say no I’d like a reason if you don’t mind.

After reading blogs for the last few months I've come to the conclusion that people out there need my two cents. You just haven't realized it yet.
